The Brief.

App developers Passport Projects needed help designing their corporate branding and website before launching their first e-learning app and asked me to polish up a few ideas they had and to get it to its final identity.
They wanted to avoid making the website too corporate but to be able to communicate with all people. Fun, informative and educational were three key words they gave me.

Colour Palette

The team at Passport Projects liked the idea of having lots of colour, using a bold, playful and adventurous palette in their website and branding, so this was really important aspect to get right.

Typography

Accessibility being a key factor, I chose clean modern typefaces with good legibility across print and digital. These fonts also have the bonus of being web fonts, streamlining load-time.

Logo

“Adventure, achievement, community, fun, following dreams, meaningful purpose” – these were all words that I was given to work with when developing the logo. They wanted to keep a global travel feel but make it light and fun, reflecting values of the company.

Their original idea was a mountain summit with two PP flags at the top, which I then developed into the final logo, making the mountains form the Ps, set against a dreamy sunset.

Website

The website needed to be a responsive one-page site which was playful and fun whilst also being informative and educational.

I came up with this design, taking different elements of travel and using colour gradients to differentiate between the different sections.
